Letter to Supporters

Dear supporter,
I hope this letter finds you well. I sincerely appreciate and am humbled by your support over the years. As you know, I have served Markham’s residents in Ward 2 for the past 12 years where I have gained firsthand knowledge of the specific issues that affect our community.
With my experience, I have ideas to improve our community on a larger scale, which is why I am running for Regional Councillor in the upcoming municipal election.
As Regional Councillor, I would be able to serve not only Ward 2 residents, but all of Markham's residents and I will focus on the following S.M.A.R.T. priorities.
S for Safety
By reducing violent crime, robberies, break-ins, carjacking and harassment through collaboration with the York Regional Police.
M for Management of Growth and Development
By managing developmental and population growth by balancing business, commercial, and residential growth, and preventing overdevelopment to help resolve transportation issues.
A for Affordable and Healthy Living
By advocating for free public transit for seniors and developing affordable housing for the underprivileged, and seniors.
R for Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
By promoting the "3Rs" starting at a young age through education and awareness programs.
T for Transportation
By promoting more services and usage of public transit with the York Region Transit expansion project, including the implementation of more access points through shuttle transportation for Markham residents.
I will be knocking on your door to listen to your concerns in the coming months. If I miss the opportunity to speak with you, please share your thoughts and ideas with me through email or social media. Together, we will build a better community.
My passion for working with Markham’s diverse groups of citizens and improving our community is why I have decided to run for Regional Councillor. Election Day is October 14-24, 2022. Can I count on your continued support?
